Volume 2 of 4, title page with woodcut frieze, half-title, numerous woodcut illustrations in the text including some full-page, woodcut initials, headpieces and tailpieces, fresh copy partially in beards, small marginal gaps in particular at the lower outer corners of some pages , very slight initial blooms, woodworm hole in the lug, full modern rigid parchment binding. The lot contains the pamphlet Two letters from Galileo Galilei and one from Kepler unpublished with notes by Pietro Bigazzi, Florence, from the Publisher, 1841 in the original paperback.
