Capri, "Le Pagine dell'Isola" by Edwin Cerio, 1923. Browning at the edges of the cover, with the usual minimal fraying at the nail, cover printed in black with applied illustration, otherwise a very good copy without number of a declared edition of 375 copies.
Very rare collection of writings in honor and memory of Giuseppe Vannicola, a last salute to a great loser, a controversial and self-destructive character who played a significant role in the de-provincialization of the twilight youths (Corazzini, Govoni and Martini). The plaque consists of three parts: an introduction by Edwin Cerio; an anthology of writings in memoriam by Vannicola (Gide, Scarfoglio, Tavolato, Marinetti, Onofri, Vitaletti, Amendola Kühn, Altomare), of which at least Gide and Marinetti are here in the original edition; three writings by Vannicola himself (Introduction to music, already published in «Cronache d agenzia» 1921; Eterna Ofelia, taken from «Prose» VI; Ombre chinese, "which reached Cerio thanks to Gustavo Sforni, evidently consists of a translation from French or English of properly Chinese stories" Iannella).
