First Italian translation of this work published in Latin in Frankfurt in 1742, translated into English in 1743 or 1744 by John Campbell, who added numerous observations. Curious and very interesting treatise on medicine and hermetic philosophy which aims to teach the method of extending life up to 150 years '' per anhelitumpuellarum '' (as the Latin title states). Cohausen was a German physician, born in Hildesheim, in 1665 and died in 1750, author of other curious medical works, including the famous '' Dissertatio satyrica. de pica nasi ''. & nbsp;
