Etching and drypoint, mm. & nbsp; 470 x & nbsp; the sheet, c.ca & nbsp; 290, the sheet, 1662, watermark & nbsp; of a circle and a lily, at the bottom the proper title "Alexandro M. Multa imperite in officina disserenti silentum", and signature in the author's plate, modern frame & nbsp; in silver wood. On the reverse of the frame, gallery label with description of the work.


Specialist Notes

One of the last sheets executed by Salvator Rosa, which concentrates his work engraved between 1635 and 1663. It is considered executed as a pendant to the engraving entitled "The Genius" by Salvator Rosa; both deal with the artist's awareness of the profane.
