Specialist Notes

"Dear Bettoliere Here I am, but I assure you that I prefer Torre if only for the coletto I have to surround. But I don't need to complain. I'm circuit enough and played too much ... badly at Covent Garden. Tomorrow with a Fiat I will go to the Derby, the great famous races ... I realized that I wrote double - at least I was drunk! I am devoid of ideas it will be albione that with its tired and a bit suffocating heat ... but it is better to stop (.. .) PS when I arrived in Milan I saw Elvira. She is in bad shape again! (...). "
Very interesting and very personal letter, addressed to one of Puccini's closest friends, & nbsp; her partner hunting, as well as administrator of the Ginori-Lisci family, owner among other things of Lake Massaciuccoli. & nbsp; In the letter he mentions and recounts an episode relating to Elvira Bonturi, companion and later wife of Puccini. & nbsp; & nbsp;
