Beautiful edition with commentary of two comedies in verse by Michelangelo Buonarroti the younger, grandson of the great Michelangelo. The Tancia had already been published in Florence in 1612, while the Fiera is in its first edition. The author was one of the most representative writers of the early sixteenth century in Tuscany and collaborated on the first two editions of the Vocabolario della Crusca. Connections, 343 Choix, 21334; Flamini, 292-293; Gamba, 253: "Very valuable edition. Credesi author of the preface Antonmaria Biscioni ...".
