Oblong album containing 24 colored and hand retouched lithographs, nos. 1-14: 205 x 340 mm. c. (the first series), nos. 15-24: 260 x 394 mm. (the second series). The first part is printed by L. Turgis in Paris, the second by the Bulla Freres publishers, also from Paris. The engravings are mostly by Gustav Doré, fifteen, the others by Walter, Gluck, Gaildran & amp; Tirpenne, and Wattier. Bound in dark colored percalline canvas.
Splendid album of lithographs, made mostly by Gustav Doré, to illustrate the Italian wars of Independence of 1859.
