Beautiful copper door engraved by the Bordiga brothers, vol. 5 (of 6 plates), of which two are reproduced in manuscripts (III and IV) and the VI is missing, 4 folios and 2 further handwritten tables, the Y4 file is missing (pp. 167-174); to the II vol. 3 plates, one of which folded, missing the title page; rare annotations, some redness and slight stains, rare halos, a few slightly burnished papers, contemporary half leather binding with corners, author and title stamped in gold on the spine, defects. Contropiatto ex libris.

Second edition, expanded with respect to the first printed in Milan in 1802, of this important treatise on horses and horse riding which brings together in an updated way all the knowledge available at the time on equestrian art.
