Specialist Notes

Original edition of this work that provides information on the settlements of the ancient inhabitants of the Po Valley, the basis of which is provided by a good knowledge of the classics and a notable erudition in local history, mainly Lombard. The most important part of the work is constituted by the publication of numerous epigraphs, the knowledge of which the author acknowledges largely owed to Andrea Alciati.
