In the antiporta table composed with the arms of noble Bolognese families, frontispiece printed in red and black, portrait of the author engraved in full page copper, in the text numerous engraved medals, finally 3 folded plates, halo at the upper margin of the title page, blooms, back binding in hardcover, gaps. Ex libris "Francisci Lisi J. C. Bonon" on the counterplate.
Specialist Notes
Rare original edition. Macchiavelli (1693 - 1766), in this work reconstructs (also with the kit of drawings of his sister) the history of the silver bolognino, describing "various ancient coins, which never existed" (Fantuzzi, p. 97) , taking advantage of the opportunity to exalt illustrious ancestors who really existed, such as Blessed Alessandro Macchiavelli, Dominican and reader of theology, who died in 1441 (Mazzetti, p. 187), or others who did not exist or historically less consistent.
