Specialist Notes

SECOND EDITION of one of the most successful texts of the 17th century theatrical publishing. Originally published in 1613, it is here substantially re-imprinted with minor variations. Salvioli considers it "the composition that can be called the dramatic masterpiece of the seventeenth century"; the text was also a primary source of inspiration for Milton's Paradise Lost .
