Specialist Notes
Refined work in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies, ours is no. 35, one of 80 from the top edition imprinted on "papier de Chine et Japon", with the two states of the illustrations , in signed binding. First separate edition of the work of Count Charles Nodier (1780-1844). The author was considered a forerunner of Romanticism and was elected à l’Académie in 1833, he was also an Arsenal librarian after 1824 and a passionate bibliophile.
