Rome, Stamperia di Rocco Bernabò, 1736. 3 even in a vol. In 4th. Frontispiece printed in red and black with chalcographic vignette, portrait of the author engraved in copper, slight blooms, coeval rigid parchment binding, smooth spine with false gusset, marbled cuts. Two notes of belonging to the title page.
Increased and amended edition of the well-known repertoire prepared by the historian and scholar Giusto Fontanini (1666-1736), professor of rhetoric at La Sapienza and later archbishop of Ancira. The work appeared in the first edition in Rome, in a more concise form, in 1706. The third part presents a large bibliography of editions in Italian. The 1736 edition was published posthumously by Domenico Fontanini, who placed a dedicatory letter on it to Cardinal Annibale Albani. Peignot 332; 605.
