Smoothbore, round, 15 mm cal. barrels, with square base and short rib at the base, which is ribbed along the entire length, floral and geometric engravings and carvings; engraved tangs with sight. Lock with round lock plate slightly engraved and provided with anti-friction and sealing systems; full wooden stocks (small restoration in the front of one gun) richly carved with floral and geometric motifs, under the barrels and near the tangs masks, the butts richly inlaid in filigree with floral motifs. Beautifully carved and engraved iron mounts, the counterplates pierced and engraved with mythical figures from the Asian area, the long trigger guards engraved and partially decorated with grooves; the butt-plates richly engraved and with a demon mask in high relief at the centre. Perforated escutcheon at the back. Iron-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. Very minor missing parts and defects. Interesting and rare pair of flintlock pistols, probably a gift for an important person in the colonies of France.
