Made of iron, tate-maru-gata, with ishime top and Amida yasuri, with a butterfly ko-sukashi with long tail, brass-covered mimi. Kozuka-hitsu-ana. The drawing has a military taste: sometimes butterflies are depicted in tsubas. It is of the late Umetada school, as it is influenced by the Shoami school. Late Edo period, early 19th century. Provenance: Compton Collection, Christie's, NY sale 22/06/1992.
