Mounted in beautiful Koshirae of the Higo school of the late 18th century. Silver habaki. tsuba-mei of maru form, of iron decorated with fine carved clouds. Fuchi with silvered flowers and remains of gilding. Kashira of wavy shape decorated en suite. Old tsuka ito. Red-lacquered saya with worked with waves to form a swirl around the scabbard. Iron kojiri with gilded raceme and decorated with floral motifs
