Turchia
length 74,7 cm.
Curved, single-edged blade with double fuller near the back; with two cartouches on the left side featuring Arabic characters consisting of gilded inlays and six-tipped stars, small spiral decorations and with a half-moon on top; similar gilded decorations also on the opposite side. Silver ring-nut at the base of the blade, decorated with filigree, and with two coral-colored cabochon stones. The hilt completely covered with silver foil featuring longitudinal bands in filigree and rows of cabochon stones at the back and on the opposite side, alternated with rosettes in relief. A niello plate at the back. Big ears (one with a crack at the base) with filigree decorations, ring-nut en suite and with other cabochon stones. Silver scabbard decorated with three transversal bands worked with floral motifs relieved on a base inlay. The rest of the scabbard with rocaille and floral decorations in relief. Chape shaped as a fish head. A six-tipped star on one side. Typical, small loop at the back.
