Production drawing by Topor for the animated film "The Wild Planet" directed by René Laloux in 1973, awarded the special prize at the 26th Cannes Film Festival. One of the greatest animated masterpieces of all time, a true work of art with strong and poetic content, "The Wild Planet" is the result of the collaboration between the French director Renè Laloux and the multifaceted artist Roland Topor who took care of all the graphics of the film, creating a sort of cross between the Surrealism of Salvador Dalì and the esoteric and bizarre imagery of Hieronymus Bosch, all characterized by a rigid animation that recalls the cartoonish delirium made by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python.
