Original illustration made by McCay and published for the first time on 26/05/1933. One of the famous editorial cartoons with which McCay with his witty and inimitable style represented his time, a glimpse of the social, political and economic situation. In this editorial we see Uncle Jack chasing the Depression by turning pennies (resulting from taxes) into hard dollars thanks to the public works machine. A museum piece. Slight abrasion in the upper left corner. Signed.
