There is a type of collector who does not only collect single photographs but also appreciates larger works such as collections, portfolios, documentation of the creativity of the most diverse authors.
The box created in 1980 by George Hurrell collects eight black and white prints: they are portraits of great film stars taken between 1930 and 1946, i.e. during the period in which he left the MGM studios to work as an independent before moving to Warner Bros. Encouraged to photography by Edward Steichen who had appreciated the shots he took as proof of his paintings, Hurrell stood out and was appreciated for the glamorous style with which he photographed the film stars of the time.
