Well known in his role as a critic, lecturer, photography historian and founder in Spilimbergo in 1955 of the "Gruppo Fotografico per una Nuova Fotografia," Italo Zannier was also a valuable author who expressed himself in a style deliberately far from any rhetoric, in polemic with the salonistic aesthetic, which for a long time characterized Italian photography. This image that portrais the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is an example of his dry and elegant style.
