The American Sam Shaw worked for a long time in the film industry under a contract with 20th Century Fox. Here he presents three portraits of Marlon Brando, but he went down in film history and not only as a particularly lucky man: he was in fact close friend with Marilyn Monroe, whom he helped, chauffeuring her, at the beginning of her career. When the actress was already established, it was Sam who invented, for the benefit of the publicity for the film 'When the Wife is on Holiday', the famous scene in which Marilyn's white pleated skirt is lifted by the air from a New York underground grate.
