Specialist Notes

DelahayeFigoni-style racing spider. A car with a pure pre-war flavor, performing andfun. Daughter of a “yesterdays’”story, with the chassis and engine pieces foundin the remote past in wooden cases, the car was created over time, always withoriginal Delahaye parts, worked by the best local specialists, for the purposeof pure entertainment. Chassis no. 48538 (whose number corresponds to a 1936Delahaye 103 N) is that of a 1938 type 134 N, shortened; engine no. 46612(number that appears on an old French registration certificate) is that of a1936 135S, equipped with a 3.2-litre 18 hp engine, but the engine has now beenincreased to 3.5 liters for 20 hp, with high performance and high rate ofadrenaline! The unit is combined with the revolutionary Cotal electromagneticgearbox. The bodywork was modeled, following the designs of the time, in theFigoni style, typical of the Delahaye racing cars of the time. The car, withSpanish plates and documents, is in excellent condition and has a FIVApassport. An electric fuel pump and hydraulic brake system were added to ensureusability. Its livery is white with black Hermes leather interior and soft top.Among the instruments, a rare supplementary chronograph of aeronautical origin. The car has participated in many historic races, including the GP de Pau, GPd'Angouleme, GP Nuvolari, Mille Miglia, Terre di Canossa, among other events.
