Achille Sdruscia around 1945 was hosted at the home of the antique dealer Filippo Ridolfi, great-grandfather of the current owner, who guaranteed him not only accommodation but also everything necessary for a normal life, so as to prevent the artist was persecuted by the Nazi forces and deported.
Sdruscia subsequently gave Ridolfi all the sketches and works created in that period of time in exchange for the generous, and not without risks, hospitality.
