Straight, single-and short false-edged blade, with double fuller (shortened?), with the mark of the Royal Factory of Naples at the tang, the Controller mark "S" and dated "1843". Brass hilt with wide, protective valve marked "1 S. N. 102". Guard with three additional loop-guards, short cap shaped with spirals. Grip with leather cover (missing part) and metal wire binding. Coeval iron scabbard (pitting), marked en suite with the sword "1 S N 102" on the drag. Two lugs.
