Fully etched blade, at the weak with a large floral motif, at the forte with three longitudinal bands, two decorated with racemes, the central one with floral motifs at the girdle, near the back a circular open-work. It is noteworthy that the designs are not repeated identically on the two sides, but are executed with some variations. Tang bordered by a cross framing, and also engraved with floral motifs. Some light pitting. Beautiful work at the base first moulded then twisted into knots. Carved, roped grip frame, cap worked with a buttoned cusp. Mother-of-pearl grip scales engraved with racemes, one with a small missing part and the representation of a bird. Wooden scabbard with earlier velvet covering (heavily worn), silver chape and hood.
