Front coat of arms with Papal tiara surmounting a silver-coloured plaque and shell-guard with "PIO IX". Cockade with two silver-coloured metal plates. Top cusp with red-dyed horsehair. Remains of silk cap inside and wide sweat band. Leather sweat band inside. Signs of use and time.
